What is Sick Building Syndrome?

By William Heal | September 7, 2022

Indoor Air Quality

“Sick Building Syndrome” occurs when people start to feel adverse health effects after spending time in a building. Usually it is not possible to link Sick Building Syndrome with specific contaminants or pollutants that cause illnesses.

Sick Building Syndrome is considered when:

  1. A number of otherwise healthy people complain of symptoms such a fatigue, headaches, dry coughs, sore throats, and more.
  2. Building occupants felt relief upon leaving the building
  3. There are no other obvious causes.

Unlike passive air technologies, which need pollutants to pass through the unit for purification or filtration, the REME HALO® sweeps through the area actively purifying pollutants at the source.

At Emerald Coast Air Conditioning and Heating, we recommend (and use in our own homes) the REME HALO. The REME HALO utilizes RGF’s patent-pending Reflective Electro Magnetic Energy technology. Installed into the supply plenum of the existing air conditioning or heating system’s air ducts, the REME HALO produces hydro-peroxide plasma that is distributed through the air handler, through the duct system and into the conditioned living space. Unlike passive air technologies, which need pollutants to pass through the unit for purification or filtration, the REME HALO sweeps through the area actively purifying pollutants at the source. In addition, the charged plasma induces particles to coagulate or stick together making them bigger and easier for your filter to catch. Hydro-Peroxide occurs naturally in the earth’s atmosphere and is part of nature’s process of cleaning the air.

Hydro-peroxides are known as Mother Nature’s nautral, en-viro-friendly cleaning agent. Maybe mother did know best when she said “Go play outdoors. It’s healthier.” Ionized hydrogen peroxides are responsible for the air smelling so clean after a thunder storm. The REME HALO produces Hydro-Peroxide plasma that is distributed through the air handler, through the duct system and into the conditioned living space, which is one of the many reasons we recommend using this product to avoid Sick Building Syndrome in your home.
